Mainpro+ is the CFPC's continuing professional development program. Many OCFP events are approved for Mainpro+ certified credits — helping you maintain your Certification while staying current in family medicine.

Group Learning

CFPC-certified conferences, workshops, webinars and rounds. Most OCFP events qualify.

Frequently asked questions

When does the current credit cycle end?

The Mainpro+ reporting cycle runs for five years. Your personal cycle start date is based on when you registered with the CFPC. Check your CFPC member account for your specific cycle dates.

How do I log my credits?

Credits are logged directly through your CFPC member account at cfpc.ca/mainpro. Keep all certificates and documentation in case of audit.

Do OCFP events offer certified credits?

Many OCFP events are certified for Mainpro+ credits. Each event listing on this site clearly shows the number and type of credits available. Look for the Mainpro+ badge on event cards.

Can I report self-directed learning?

Yes. Non-certified activities such as journal reading, peer consultation, online learning from non-accredited sources and clinical teaching can be self-reported for up to 50 non-certified credits per cycle.

What happens if I miss my deadline?

If you do not meet your cycle requirements, the CFPC will contact you to develop a plan. Contact the CFPC as early as possible if you anticipate a shortfall.
